Who Can Apply?

Nursing Officer (Pay Level 7, Group B)

  • B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute or University, OR
  • B.Sc. (Post Certificate) / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC recognized Institute/Board/University, OR
  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an INC recognized institution + 2 years experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital
  • Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with State or Indian Nursing Council

Stenographer (Pay Level 4, Group C)

  • Graduate (any stream) from a recognized university
  • Stenography speed: 80 WPM in Hindi or English
  • Typing speed: 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on computer/desktop
  • Knowledge of computer applications

Note: Only candidates who have already applied under Advt. No. I/08/1-12/Rectt/2025-26 dated 11.06.2025 are eligible. No fresh applications will be accepted for these backlog vacancies. Domicile certificate from the Government of Uttar Pradesh is required for UP government jobs.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years and Maximum age: 40 years as on 01 January 2025
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates: Upper age relaxation up to 5 years (max age 45 years)

  • Government employees with 3+ years of regular service: Relaxation up to 5 years

Salary

Nursing Officer (Pay Level 7)

  • Basic Pay: Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400 per month (7th CPC)
  • In-hand salary: Rs. 62,000 - Rs. 67,000 per month (approximate, including DA, HRA, Nursing Allowance)
  • Additional benefits: Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Nursing Allowance, Yearly Increments, and PF contributions

Stenographer (Pay Level 4)

  • Basic Pay: Rs. 25,500 - Rs. 81,100 per month (7th CPC)
  • Additional benefits: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other applicable allowances as per UP government rules

Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): The CBT for backlog vacancies will be held jointly with the fresh vacancy recruitment process. The exam is objective in nature, covering aptitude and domain-specific knowledge. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for General/EWS/OBC and 45% for SC/ST. Exam medium is English only (except Group D posts). Normalization will apply if the exam is held in multiple shifts.
  2. Skill Test (for Stenographer only): Candidates shortlisted from CBT merit will appear for a qualifying Stenography/Typing Test. The skill test is qualifying in nature — final merit is based on CBT marks only.
  3. Document Verification: Provisional selection followed by verification of original documents and certificates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist doctors and senior medical staff in patient care, treatment procedures, and ward management activities
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records as per hospital protocols
  • Prepare and maintain nursing care plans for patients assigned to your ward or unit
  • Follow infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and safety guidelines within the hospital
  • Handle medical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and availability
  • Work in shifts including night duty, emergency duty, and holiday duty as required by the institute
  • Keep records of patient history, treatment given, and discharge summaries in the hospital information system
  • Manage stenography and typing tasks including drafting official correspondence, meeting minutes, and administrative documents (for Stenographer post)

Exam Pattern
