Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra has released a notification for filling Adhoc teaching and non-teaching positions at its Postgraduate Bhavans (departments) on an 11-month contract basis. The recruitment covers 19 departments including Sanskrit, Hindi, Sociology, Economics, History, Physics, Psychology, Geography, Library Science, Physical Education, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Mathematics. Selection is through a walk-in interview — there is no written exam. Candidates with a Master's degree and required NET/SLET qualifications can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Professor Posts

  • Qualification: You must have a Master's Degree (PG) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant subject from a recognised Indian or foreign university.
  • NET/SLET/SET: You must have cleared UGC NET / CSIR NET / SLET / SET. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree following UGC 2009/2016 regulations may be exempted from NET/SLET as per UGC norms.
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences (Professor / Associate Professor): Higher qualifications (Ph.D. + experience + publications) as per UGC/AICTE/PCI norms for these senior roles.

For Lab Assistant Posts

  • Relevant degree/diploma in the concerned subject (Chemistry or Microbiology) as per UGC and Gujarat Government norms.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the concerned subject
  • Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments and question papers
  • Evaluate student assignments, internal tests and end-semester examinations
  • Guide students with academic projects, dissertations and research work
  • Maintain proper attendance, internal marks and academic records
  • Participate in departmental meetings, seminars and university committees
  • Assist the Head of Department in academic and administrative tasks
  • Follow UGC and university rules in all academic activities

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Master's Degree (PG) with 55% marks in the concerned subject + NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms

Preferred Qualification

Ph.D. in the relevant discipline; UGC-listed publications for senior pharmacy roles

Required Skills

Subject expertise, teaching ability, communication skills, computer proficiency, knowledge of Gujarati for Gujarati-medium posts
