Central University of Gujarat (CUG), Vadodara, has released an advertisement for the post of Project Associate under its IKS Division, a Ministry of Education, Government of India sponsored research project. The role is based in the Department of Applied Chemistry, School of Applied Material Sciences, at the CUG campus in Kundhela, Vadodara, Gujarat - 391107, under the guidance of Principal Investigator Dr. Kuldeep Joshi. The engagement is purely temporary and runs for two years or till the project requires your services, including a one-month probation. This is a good opportunity for M.Sc. Chemistry graduates interested in research on nanomaterials and environmental chemistry, and it gives you a chance to work closely with a funded university research team rather than just attending classes.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Industrial Chemistry, Material Sciences, NanoSciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Computational Science, Materials Science, or Bioscience from a recognized university, with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Preferred: Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, or an equivalent national-level exam will be given preference.
• Experience: Prior experience in laboratory research, nanomaterials, or environmental chemistry is desirable but not mandatory.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 35 years as on the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

Salary

• You will get a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month, including HRA.
• The project runs for two years, or till the services are required, including a one-month probation period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this post. Selection happens in two steps:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their qualification and suitability for the role.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Note: The appointment is purely temporary and governed by the rules of CUG and the IKS Division. The Principal Investigator reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning a reason, so make sure to keep your documents ready in advance.
