State Bank of India (SBI) has released Advertisement No. CRPD/RS/2026-27/06 for engaging retired bank officers as Resolvers on a contract basis. Who Can Apply?

  • Eligibility: Only retired officers of State Bank of India are eligible. Officers who retired on superannuation with a clean service record from grades MMGS-II, MMGS-III, or SMGS-IV can apply.
  • Service record: You must have retired from SBI on superannuation. Officers who took voluntary retirement before completing eligibility conditions are not eligible.
  • Disciplinary record: You must have a clean service record. Candidates with any adverse reports or disciplinary action are not eligible.
  • Health: You must be in good health and not suffering from any major ailment.
  • No specific educational qualification is required — SBI retired officer status is the primary criterion.

Preference will be given to officers with experience within SBI's service framework, particularly those with a background in customer complaint handling, banking systems, and overall procedures.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 63 years as on 31.03.2026
  • The engagement shall be up to a maximum age of 65 years, subject to satisfactory performance and annual renewal of contract.
  • No upper age relaxation is available — the 63-year limit is a hard cap for applying.

Salary

  • MMGS-II: Rs. 45,000 per month (fixed)
  • MMGS-III: Rs. 45,000 per month (fixed)
  • SMGS-IV: Rs. 50,000 per month (fixed)

This is a fixed monthly payment. No additional benefits such as PF, gratuity, or allowances are provided. The payment may be subject to TDS as applicable.

Selection Process

Selection for SBI Resolver posts is based on:

  1. Shortlisting: Based on experience, suitability, and the overall profile submitted in the biodata form. SBI may call only the required number of candidates for interview.
  2. Interview (100 marks): Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at a centre/venue decided by SBI. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed. The interview panel's decision is final.
  3. Document Verification: Original documents including service records, age proof, ID, retirement papers, and medical fitness certificate will be verified at the time of interview.

SBI reserves the right to cancel/modify the recruitment process entirely or at any stage without assigning any reason.

  • Handle customer complaints received at the Circle Complaints Resolution Centre (CCRC) efficiently and within set timelines
  • Review complaints escalated from branches and ensure proper resolution as per RBI and SBI guidelines
  • Coordinate with relevant departments and branches to gather required information for complaint resolution
  • Maintain detailed records of all complaints received, actions taken, and resolutions provided
  • Monitor turnaround time (TAT) for complaint resolution and flag delays to management
  • Prepare regular reports on complaint trends and resolution status for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to grievance redressal

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Retired SBI officer (MMGS-II, MMGS-III, or SMGS-IV) with superannuation and clean service record

Preferred Qualification

Experience in customer complaint handling, Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector

Required Skills

Knowledge of banking systems and procedures, customer grievance redressal, good health
