RCB has released Advertisement No. 23/Project/2026/HR to recruit one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology funded project titled "Investigating the role of platelet factor 4 and CXCR3 in dengue infection in mice with/without diabetes", led by Dr. Prasenjit Guchhait, Professor. The position is initially for 1 year, extendable for the duration of the project. There is no written exam — selection is based purely on an online interview, making this a fast-track opportunity for life science postgraduates with a NET/GATE qualification. You will be based at RCB's campus in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad-Gurgaon Expressway, Faridabad, Haryana.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an M.Sc. in Life Sciences or a related natural science discipline from a recognized university, with at least 60% marks.
• Eligibility Test: You must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or cleared a national-level exam conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER or similar bodies, as per DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z/2022 dated 26 June 2023.
• Desirable Experience: Experience working with dengue or BSL2-level viruses, mice handling (injecting drugs, collecting blood/organ samples), and lab techniques such as flow cytometry, microscopy, western blot and PCR analysis will be an advantage. If you have this experience, you should upload a certificate from the concerned Principal Investigator confirming it.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get Rs. 37,000 per month plus 27% HRA as per DBT project fellowship norms.
