Reserve Bank of India is preparing a panel for 2 Part Time Medical Consultant posts at its Patna dispensaries. This is a 3-year contract role for doctors with an MBBS degree in allopathic medicine. Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you hold an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine. Doctors with a post-graduate degree in General Medicine can also apply. You must have at least 2 years of post-qualification practice in a hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner.

RBI has also added a local-distance condition for this Patna engagement. Your dispensary or residence should be within 3-5 km from the Bank dispensaries. If you apply under the SC/ST category, you must attach the required caste certificate in the prescribed format along with the offline application.

Salary

• Hourly pay: Rs. 1,000 per hour during the contract period.
• Conveyance component: Rs. 1,000 per month will be treated as conveyance expenses out of the monthly amount payable.
• Mobile reimbursement: Rs. 1,000 per month will be granted.
• Holiday duty: If RBI asks you to attend a dispensary on a public holiday, compensation is paid at Rs. 1,000 per hour.
• Other benefits: Pension, provident fund, gratuity, leave, and other facilities are not payable for this contract engagement.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: RBI may raise the minimum eligibility criteria to limit the number of doctors called for interview.
2. Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be called for interview by the Bank.
3. Medical examination: Applicants shortlisted after interview must undergo medical examination as per RBI norms.
4. Document verification: RBI will verify documents before empanelling the Medical Consultant.
5. Agreement: The empanelled doctor must accept the terms, code of conduct, and sign an agreement before engagement.
