- BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
- ITI in a relevant trade — your ITI trade must match the disciplines listed in the syllabus (Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunication, etc.)
- Diploma from a Polytechnic in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Electronics & Communication
Plus, you must have a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience. Make sure your experience aligns with the subjects covered in the syllabus (Annexure-II of the notification).
Nationality
You must be an Indian citizen. Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1972 and persons of Indian origin migrated from specified countries are also eligible with a State Government certificate of eligibility.
Age Limit
Your age is calculated as on 1 January 2026 (you must not be born later than 01.01.2008):
- Unreserved & EWS (Male): 18 to 37 years
- Unreserved & EWS (Female): 18 to 40 years
- BC / EBC (Male & Female): 18 to 40 years
- SC / ST (Male & Female): 18 to 42 years
- Central/State Govt employees: Upper age relaxed by 5 years
- Locomotor Disabled: Additional 10 years relaxation over category limit
- High Court serving staff / daily wage / subordinate court / deputation: Upper age limit does not apply

Selection Process
The selection happens in 3 main stages (plus a screening test if applicants are too many). Your final merit is calculated out of 330 marks combining Written Test, Skill Test, and Interview.
- Screening/Preliminary Test (if needed): 100 marks, 2 hours, MCQ-based. Conducted only if applications are on the higher side. Subjects: General Awareness (15 marks), Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude (10 marks), General English (15 marks), Computer Applications (60 marks). Minimum qualifying marks: 40%. Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for wrong answers. These marks do NOT count toward final merit.
- Written Test: 200 marks, 2 hours, MCQ-based. Covers domain-specific technical knowledge as per Annexure-II syllabus. Minimum qualifying marks: 80 out of 200 (40%). Six times the vacancies are shortlisted for the next stage.
- Trade/Skill Test/Work Proficiency Test: 100 marks, 1 hour. Tests your practical/hands-on knowledge. Minimum qualifying marks: 40 out of 100 (40%). Three times the vacancies are shortlisted for Interview.
- Interview: 30 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 9 out of 30 (30%).
Final merit list is prepared by adding marks from Written Test (200) + Skill Test (100) + Interview (30) = 330 marks total.

Responsibilities
- Handle installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals used across court establishments
- Manage computer networks including LAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless network devices within the High Court premises
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems on court workstations and servers
- Work on database management tasks including basic SQL queries, data backup, and ensuring data integrity of court records
- Provide technical support to judges, officers, and court staff for day-to-day IT-related issues and e-court applications
- Monitor and maintain web applications, official website content, and cloud-based services used by the High Court
- Follow cybersecurity protocols, install firewalls, manage antivirus systems, and ensure secure data handling practices
- Prepare technical reports, maintain IT inventory records, and assist in procurement of IT hardware and software

Stage A: Screening/Preliminary Test (Conditional)

Final Merit Calculation: Written Test (200) + Skill Test (100) + Interview (30) = 330 marks. In case of a tie, preference goes to candidates with work experience in the High Court, followed by higher Written Test marks, and then the older candidate.
