Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna public sector company, is recruiting for regular executive positions in chemistry, reservoir engineering and economics. The expected work base is Field Headquarters, Duliajan, Assam, although the company can assign you to other operational areas or offices. The notice brings together field operations and investment planning, with a separate professional focus for each role.
Posts and Disciplines
- Deputy Chief Chemist: work connected with drilling and workover fluids, chemical operations and wellsite support.
- Deputy Chief Engineer (Reservoir): reservoir evaluation, hydrocarbon resources and field development planning.
- Economist: economic analysis, investment assessment and business opportunities in India and overseas.
Post-wise Duties
Deputy Chief Chemist
You will help keep drilling and workover fluids ready for field use, check their properties and manage chemical quality. The work also covers wellsite supplies, equipment calibration and chemical stocks. You will support critical well operations while keeping safety, regulatory compliance and fluid reuse in view.
Deputy Chief Engineer (Reservoir)
You will combine geological, production and other field data to build a clearer picture of reservoir performance. The role includes estimating reserves, using simulation models and supporting decisions about well placement and recovery methods. Your analysis will help teams compare development plans and identify where wells need attention.
Economist
You will assess new business and investment opportunities, including existing ventures and possible exits. The work connects economic trends, policy developments and project analysis with management decisions. You will also help examine commercial risks, coordinate with stakeholders and prepare reports for company leadership.
