Oil India Limited Consultant (Land) Recruitment 2026

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has invited applications for the post of Consultant (Land) on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity for retired senior officials with expertise in land acquisition and revenue matters.

The engagement is for 1 year, which can be extended by 1 more year, making it a maximum of 2 years total. The posting is at OIL's Field Headquarters in Duliajan, Assam, and the role involves travel across North-Eastern states of India.

Who Can Apply

This post is open only to retired officials. You must meet all of the following conditions:

  • You must be a retired official from a Government department, PSU, or Private sector organization
  • You must have retired at the level of General Manager (Grade G) or Deputy Secretary or above
  • You must have a minimum of 25 years of total work experience
  • Out of those 25 years, at least 10 years must be in land acquisition or revenue matters
  • Your age must not be more than 63 years as on 26 March 2026

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute
  • Preferred: Postgraduate degree in any discipline is an added advantage

Language Requirement

  • You must know Assamese, English, and Hindi
  • Knowledge of other local North-Eastern languages is an advantage

Salary

Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,50,000 per month (lump-sum). This amount includes conveyance, telephone, and internet charges. No separate DA is paid for regular duty.

For official tours, you will get a daily allowance (DA) of Rs. 2,000 per day.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this post. Selection will be done only through a Personal Interaction (Interview). OIL will contact shortlisted candidates directly.
