National Institute of Technology Calicut, Office of Research and Consultancy, has announced a contract-based JRF position in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The project title is Intensified CO2 capture and regeneration using Joule and Microwave heating, sponsored by ANRF-ARG. The role is suitable for GATE-qualified Chemical Engineering candidates who want research experience and may later register for Ph.D.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• M.E./M.Tech route: You need M.E. or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized technical institute or university as a full-time program, plus GATE qualification.
• Bachelor's route: You can also apply with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or another relevant Engineering and Technology branch from a recognized university with first class CGPA of 7.5 on a 10-point scale and a valid GATE score.

Desirable Skills

• Process modelling: Experience in process modelling and simulation is desirable.
• Software: Knowledge of Aspen Plus and COMSOL simulation software will help.
• Research interest: The selected candidate will be encouraged to register for Ph.D..

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years.
• Age relaxation: Relaxation is applicable as per Government rules.

Salary

• Monthly fellowship: Rs. 37,000 per month.
