About This Job

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is filling up 1 post of System Analyst (Hardware & Networking) at its Headquarters in New Delhi. The post is at Pay Matrix Level-10 and recruitment is 100% by deputation including Short Term Contract (STC). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until a suitable candidate is selected.

NCB System Analyst Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

This vacancy is governed by vacancy circular F.No.II/4(2)/2025/Estt issued by NCB Headquarters, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. While applications received by 31st May 2025 were processed first, clause 8 of the circular keeps the vacancy open on a monthly rolling basis until a suitable officer is found. The post supports NCB's IT infrastructure, networking, and data systems critical to narcotics enforcement operations.

Who Can Apply?

Officers of Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Recognized Research Institutes, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organisations are eligible. You must meet both service and qualification criteria:

• Service: Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre; OR with 2 years regular service in Level-9 of the pay matrix (or equivalent).
• Qualification: Master's Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science/Information Technology; OR M.Tech (with specialization in Computer Application/Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Communication); OR B.E/B.Tech in Computer Application/Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Communication from a recognized University/Institute.
• Experience: 2 years of electronic data processing work from Central/State Govt/UT/University/Research Institute/PSU/Autonomous or Statutory Organisation — including programming in UNIX or WINDOWS, Networking, Network protocols, Network Management systems, latest RDBMS, environment and development tools.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
• Deputation period shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.

Salary

• Pay Level-10 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Pre-revised scale: PB-3 Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400.
• Entry pay at Level-10 starts around Rs. 56,100 per month plus admissible allowances (DA, HRA, TA) as per Central Government rules.
• Deputation terms follow DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II) dated 17.06.2010, as amended.

Selection Process

1. Screening of Applications — eligibility check against educational and experience criteria.
2. Document Verification — APARs for last 5 years, Integrity Certificate, Vigilance Clearance, Cadre Clearance, and Major/Minor penalty statement for last 10 years.
3. Selection Committee Review — final selection by NCB. No written exam.

• Manage NCB's hardware infrastructure, servers, and networking systems at Headquarters.
