The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has extended the online application window for the recruitment of 949 Assistant Professor posts under the Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

• Last Date to Apply Online (Revised): 9 June 2026
• Late Fee Applications (Rs. 3,000): 10–16 June 2026
• Ultra-Late Fee Applications (Rs. 25,000): 17 June 2026

Vacancy Details

Total Posts: 949 across 20 subjects in Government Colleges of Madhya Pradesh. Subjects include Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Geography, History, Psychology, Law, Geology, Yogic Science, Commerce, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Physics, Chemistry, and others.

Eligibility

• Age Limit: 21 to 40 years
• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from an Indian University or equivalent accredited foreign university

Application Process

Apply online at mppsc.mp.gov.in. The extension was granted to ensure candidates awaiting Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MP-SET) results are not excluded from applying.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a written examination followed by an interview.

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in government colleges of Madhya Pradesh
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and conduct lectures as per the syllabus
• Evaluate students through exams, assignments, and internal assessments
• Guide students in academic projects and research work
• Take part in college administrative duties as assigned by the principal
• Conduct and publish research in your subject area
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and academic events
• Follow the rules and guidelines set by the Higher Education Department
