Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is hiring 1 Chief Project Manager on deputation basis at Vadalapudi Workshop, Visakhapatnam. The post is in the JAG/SG scale (7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 12 or 13). Only IRSME officers and Mechanical officers of Indian Railways / Railway PSUs can apply. Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has issued Vacancy Notice No. DE/P/07/2026 dated 27 May 2026 for filling up one (1) post of Chief Project Manager in JAG/SG scale on deputation basis at the Vadalapudi Workshop, Visakhapatnam. The selected officer will be the overall in-charge for execution of contracts for POH/NPOH of different types of wagons at Vadalapudi Workshop. The deputation is for a normal term of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years.

Who Can Apply?

You must belong to one of the following categories:

• IRSME Officer of Indian Railways working in PML-13 of 7th CPC, OR
• IRSME Officer of Indian Railways working in PML-12 of 7th CPC, OR
• Mechanical Officer of Indian Railway / Railway PSU with a minimum of 7 years of service as Officer and working in Senior Scale.

Officers meeting the stipulated criteria and working in Adhoc JAG/SS will also be considered.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Below 56 years as on the date of notification (27 May 2026)

Salary

• Pay Scale: JAG/SG — 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 12 or Level 13
• Level 12 entry pay: Rs. 78,800 per month
• Level 13 entry pay: Rs. 1,23,100 per month
• Plus DA, HRA, deputation (duty) allowance and other allowances admissible under DoPT rules
• You will draw pay and allowances as per DOPT instructions admissible from time to time on the Railways plus deputation (duty) allowance

Selection Process

Selection is on deputation basis with no written exam:

1. Forwarding through Railway Board: Applications must be forwarded by parent Zonal Railway / PU to Railway Board at least 7 days before the closing date. Only applications forwarded by Railway Board will be considered.
2. Shortlisting: Eligible suitable applicants are shortlisted on the basis of eligibility and experience as per the Vacancy Notice.
3. Selection Criteria: As per Ministry of Railway, Railway Board's letters No. 2017/E(O)II/41/5 dated 25.05.2017 and No. 2018/E(O)II/41/1 dated 07.03.2018.
4. Document Verification and final offer of deputation.

• Take overall in-charge of execution of contracts for POH (Periodic Overhauling) and NPOH (Non-Periodic Overhauling) of different types of wagons at Vadalapudi Workshop
• Achieve the wagon overhauling targets set by Indian Railways for Vadalapudi Workshop
• Manage workshop manpower including officers, supervisors and technicians
• Handle material planning, procurement coordination and stores management
• Ensure safety and infrastructure management across all workshop bays
• Co-ordinate with East Coast Railway and other Zonal Railways for wagon movement and target compliance
• Carry out any other duties assigned by CME/KRCL from time to time
