King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow has released a Special Recruitment Drive for reserved category faculty posts in various departments and the College of Nursing. The notice covers Professor, Professor Junior Grade (Additional Professor), Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Tutor posts in one combined recruitment. Only domicile candidates of Uttar Pradesh can apply, and fresh applications must be submitted for this advertisement.

Who Can Apply?

Common Conditions

• Domicile: You must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
• Reserved category: This recruitment is for reserved category candidates only.
• Qualification date: Your qualification and experience will be checked as on 20 June 2026.
• Recognised qualification: Qualifications must be recognised by NMC/MCI, DCI, INC or other relevant councils, as applicable.

Medical and Dental Faculty

• You need the relevant MD/MS/MDS/DNB/DM/MCh or equivalent qualification accepted by the concerned council and KGMU rules.
• Assistant Professor posts generally need 3 years of teaching/research experience after PG, unless the specific specialty rule says otherwise.
• Associate Professor posts need 6 years, Additional Professor posts need 9 years, and Professor posts need 13 years of teaching/research experience after the required PG/super-specialty qualification.

Non-Medical and Nursing Faculty

• Non-medical teacher posts need qualifications such as M.Sc with Ph.D., MD, MDS, or equivalent as listed for the department.
• Nursing Assistant Professor needs M.Sc Nursing with 3 years teaching experience; Ph.D Nursing is desirable.
• Tutor needs M.Sc Nursing or B.Sc/P.B.B.Sc Nursing with 1 year teaching experience.

Salary

• Professor: Level 14A, Rs. 1,68,900 to Rs. 2,20,400, GP 10500
• Professor Junior Grade (Additional Professor): Level 13A-2, Rs. 1,48,200 to Rs. 2,11,400, GP 9500
• Associate Professor: Level 13A-1, Rs. 1,38,300 to Rs. 2,09,200, GP 9000
• Assistant Professor: Level 12, Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400, GP 8000
• Nursing Assistant Professor: Level 11, Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700, GP 6600
• Tutor: Level 10, Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500, GP 5400
• Allowances and service conditions will follow KGMU/Government rules. Non-medical teachers will not get Non-Practice Allowance.

Application Fee

• OBC category seats: Rs. 6,000 inclusive of 18% GST, non-refundable.
• SC/ST/PwD category seats: Rs. 3,500 inclusive of 18% GST, non-refundable.
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of A/C No. 50207862810, KGMU Recruitment, payable at Lucknow.
• If you apply for more than one advertisement number, you need a separate application and additional fee.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The brochure mentions scrutiny, screening and personal interview. There is no written exam in this notice, and interview attendance must be in person.

1. Application Scrutiny: KGMU will check offline applications, Google Form submissions, fee proof, category certificate, experience proof and council registration where required.
2. Shortlisting: Shortlisted applicants may be called for interview based on university rules and number of applications.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates must attend the interview in person. Online appearance is not allowed.
4. Document Verification and Medical Fitness: Original documents will be checked at interview/joining, and appointment is subject to medical fitness and document verification.

4. Fill the mandatory Google Form at forms.gle and upload the required single PDF file as instructed.
5. Attach self-attested copies of qualification, experience, publications, awards, caste/category certificate, UP domicile certificate and other relevant documents.
6. Send the filled form to Registrar, King George's Medical University, Chowk, Lucknow - 226003 by hand, Registered Post, Speed Post or courier.
7. Make sure the application reaches KGMU before 20 June 2026.
