Responsibilities
- Teach medical, dental, non-medical or nursing subjects as per the approved curriculum
- Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, resident or nursing students in academic work
- Prepare lectures, practical sessions, clinical teaching plans and assessment material
- Conduct research and publish eligible work in recognised indexed journals
- Participate in departmental clinical, laboratory, academic or administrative duties
- Evaluate examinations, assignments, seminars and student performance records
- Follow KGMU rules on full-time service, no private practice and professional conduct
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Relevant NMC/MCI, DCI, INC or KGMU-recognised qualification for the faculty post, such as MD/MS/MDS/DNB/DM/MCh, M.Sc with Ph.D., M.Sc Nursing, or B.Sc/P.B.B.Sc Nursing with required teaching/research experience.
Preferred Qualification
Ph.D Nursing is desirable for Nursing Assistant Professor. Department-specific desirable skills are listed for some non-medical posts.
