King George's Medical University has updated the Faculty Recruitment 2026 Special Recruitment Drive for reserved-category posts. The official PDF shows the last date for application submission changed from 20 June 2026 to 31 July 2026.

  • Vacancies: The current official vacancy table totals 83 faculty posts.
  • Qualification and experience cut-off: The cut-off date is the last date of submission of application, so it follows the new deadline of 31 July 2026.
  • Application mode: Only offline applications are accepted, and Google Form filling is mandatory.
  • Fees: OBC category seats require Rs. 6,000. SC, ST, and PwD category seats require Rs. 3,500. Fees are to be submitted by Demand Draft as stated in the official PDF.
  • Submission address: Applications are to be sent to the Registrar, King George's Medical University, Chowk, Lucknow-226003.

Responsibilities

  • Teach medical, dental, non-medical or nursing subjects as per the approved curriculum
  • Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, resident or nursing students in academic work
  • Prepare lectures, practical sessions, clinical teaching plans and assessment material
  • Conduct research and publish eligible work in recognised indexed journals
  • Participate in departmental clinical, laboratory, academic or administrative duties
  • Evaluate examinations, assignments, seminars and student performance records
  • Follow KGMU rules on full-time service, no private practice and professional conduct

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Relevant NMC/MCI, DCI, INC or KGMU-recognised qualification for the faculty post, such as MD/MS/MDS/DNB/DM/MCh, M.Sc with Ph.D., M.Sc Nursing, or B.Sc/P.B.B.Sc Nursing with required teaching/research experience.

Preferred Qualification

Ph.D Nursing is desirable for Nursing Assistant Professor. Department-specific desirable skills are listed for some non-medical posts.
