Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Assistant Professor (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Kerala PSC has issued Category No. 99/2026, a Second NCA (Non-Communal Allotment) Notification, to fill one Assistant Professor vacancy in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery under Kerala Medical Education Services. This vacancy is reserved for the SCCC community, and this is a repeat notification — the first NCA notification (Category No. 41/2025, gazetted 30 April 2025) did not find enough eligible candidates from this community, so Kerala PSC is inviting applications again. The Ranked List already published for this post on 31 December 2024 (Category No. 294/2023) will continue to be used to fill this and any future SCCC vacancies that arise in this post.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: Postgraduate Degree (MDS) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from a university recognised by the Dental Council of India.
- Registration: Permanent registration with the State Dental Council.
- Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience. Your Post Graduate study period itself can count as teaching experience if you completed a residency programme during your PG course — or if you obtain a certificate from your college Principal confirming clinical/teaching experience during your PG studies.
- Community: Only candidates belonging to the SCCC (Scheduled Caste converted to Christianity) community are eligible. Applications from other communities will be rejected.
- Note: Provisional registration with any Medical/Dental Council will not be accepted — you need permanent registration.
Age Limit
- You should be between 24 and 48 years old — born between 2 January 1978 and 1 January 2002 (both dates included).
- Age Relaxation: If you were an adult member of the Scheduled Caste community before converting to Christianity (or are their child), you get relaxation up to 50 years — you should be born between 2 January 1976 and 1 January 2002.
Salary
- Salary for this post will be paid as per UGC (University Grants Commission) norms applicable to Assistant Professors in Kerala Medical Education Services.
- You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.
Application Fee
- All SCCC candidates: No application fee is required for this post.
Selection Process
Kerala PSC will select candidates through the following process:
- Application Screening: Your application and uploaded documents (degree certificate, registration, experience certificate) are checked against the eligibility conditions.
- Written/OMR/Online Test (if held): If Kerala PSC conducts a test as part of this selection, you must confirm your participation through your One Time Registration profile.
- Ranked List: A Ranked List will be prepared for this post based on the selection process.
- Document Verification: You will need to produce original documents — your MDS degree, Dental Council registration, teaching experience certificate, and SCCC community certificate — when the Commission calls for them.
