IIMK Campus Security Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) wants a Campus Security Manager on contract to take charge of safety at its campus in Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode (Kerala). The biggest task is building from the ground up: you will set up and run the Institute's Central Control Room and Emergency Team, and then look after students, staff, visitors, VIP movements, traffic and parking across the campus. This role is aimed at seasoned security professionals — people who have served in the defence or paramilitary forces, the police, a PSU, an industrial unit or a large educational institution and have led a big security team.

Former Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and equivalent ranks can apply, because the institute also accepts the graduate degrees awarded to defence personnel. Retired CISF officers and ex-service personnel who held Group A or Group B posts are listed among the preferred profiles.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The engagement is purely on contract for an initial period of one year. Any extension depends on the institute's needs and your performance.
• Shifts and on-call duty: You must be ready to work different shifts, reach the campus in person for any security emergency and stay on call at all times, including extended hours when the situation needs it.
• Languages: You should be able to write reports in English and talk comfortably in English, Hindi and Malayalam.
• Technical comfort: Basic computer skills and the ability to monitor CCTV feeds are part of the essential requirement, not an extra.
• Liaison role: The post includes keeping the campus compliant with national and regional security regulations and acting as the institute's contact with law enforcement and emergency services.
• Verification at joining: If you are selected, every certificate and your experience record will be checked when you join.
• Canvassing: Any attempt to bring in influence, political or otherwise, disqualifies you automatically. The Director's decision on selection is final.
