Kerala Agricultural University, through its College of Agriculture at Padannakkad in Kasaragod district, has issued Notification No. COAPAD/1160/2026-B1 for 1 Assistant Professor post in the Animal Husbandry department. This is a daily wage temporary teaching position, and selection happens directly through a walk-in written test/interview -- no online application form needs to be submitted in advance. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Bachelor's degree from the relevant faculty recognized by Kerala Agricultural University, plus a Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (a 5% relaxation applies for SC/ST/differently-abled candidates).
• NET Requirement: You should have qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by ICAR/UGC/CSIR/AICTE or an equivalent UGC-accredited test. If no NET-qualified candidate is available, non-NET candidates will also be considered.
• Desirable: A Ph.D. in the relevant subject and the ability to read and write Malayalam will strengthen your candidature.

Age Limit

• You should not be over 50 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Available for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Communities as prescribed in the Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules, 1958.

Salary

• Selected candidates will be paid Rs. 1,470 per day on a daily wage basis (works out to roughly Rs. 44,100 per month for a full working month).
• This is a temporary daily-wage engagement, so it does not carry the allowances or benefits given to regular faculty.

1. Written Test/Interview: Held on 20 August 2026 at 9:30 AM at College of Agriculture, Padannakkad.
