Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi is hiring 10 Apprentices for a one-year training program under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) is an autonomous research centre of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, located at Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi. IUAC has released Advertisement No. 07/2026 for 10 apprenticeship training positions across Graduate, Diploma and ITI levels. This is a training opportunity for fresh graduates and technicians who want hands-on experience at one of India's leading accelerator research facilities. Final year students can also apply.

Who Can Apply?

Graduate Apprentices (Stipend Rs. 12,300/month):

• Electronics: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electronics and Telecommunication with minimum 55% marks.
• Instrumentation: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electrical and Instrumentation with minimum 55% marks.
• Mechanical: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Mechanical / Mechanical and Automation / Mechanical and Automobile / Production with minimum 55% marks.
• Material Science and Technology: Bachelor's Degree in Science in Physics / Applied Physics with minimum 55% marks.

Diploma Apprentice (Stipend Rs. 10,900/month):

• Mechanical: Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Production / Production and Industrial Manufacturing with minimum 55% marks.

ITI Apprentices (Stipend Rs. 9,600 - 10,560/month):

• Machinist: 2-year ITI certificate in Machinist / Turner / Grinder trade with minimum 55% marks.
• Welder: 1-year ITI certificate in Welder trade with minimum 55% marks.
• Electronic Mechanic: 2-year ITI certificate in Electronics Mechanic trade with minimum 55% marks.

Only candidates who passed out in 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible. If you have already done apprenticeship training or have one year or more of work experience after your qualification, you cannot apply. Final year appearing candidates can apply and must show final results at the time of selection.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old and not more than 30 years as on the last date of application (27 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disability.

Salary

• Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 12,300 per month stipend.
• Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 10,900 per month stipend.
• ITI Apprentice (Machinist and Electronic Mechanic): Rs. 10,560 per month stipend.
• ITI Apprentice (Welder): Rs. 9,600 per month stipend.
• Selected apprentices also get medical facilities as per IUAC norms applicable to students.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is done as follows:

1. Merit List: Candidates are shortlisted based on a merit list prepared from their academic marks.
2. Document Verification: Selected candidates are informed by email and must submit scanned copies of testimonials, followed by original certificates at the time of joining.

• Undergo one-year apprenticeship training in the assigned trade at IUAC, New Delhi.
