This is a skill-building opportunity under the Apprentices Act - it is training, not a permanent job, and IOCL has no obligation to offer employment after the training period. Freshers with a B.Sc in science subjects or an ITI certificate should apply.

Who Can Apply?

Your qualification decides which trade you can apply for, and you can apply for only one trade or discipline.

• B.Sc holders: B.Sc in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry for the Attendant Operator and Boiler trades.
• ITI holders: Matric with ITI in Fitter trade (minimum 2 years duration, pass class) for the Fitter trade.

Applying for more than one trade or discipline will get your application rejected.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 24 years old as on 30 June 2026 for General/EWS candidates.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.

Salary

• You will get a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and IOCL guidelines.
• No HRA or company accommodation is provided during the training period.

Application Fee

• There is no application fee for this apprenticeship engagement.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test. Selection happens in these steps:

1. Merit List: Candidates are ranked by the percentage of marks (aggregate of all subjects/semesters) obtained in the qualifying exam, in descending order. First-time apprenticeship applicants get preference.
2. Tie-breaker: If marks are equal, the older candidate (by date of birth) ranks higher; if the date of birth is also the same, higher marks in Matriculation are considered.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates.
4. Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness: You must be declared medically fit before engagement, as this trade involves work in a hazardous plant area.
