Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The contract starts with a one-year term from joining. The unit can shorten or extend it at its discretion, and any continuation depends on performance.
• Place of work: Your assignment is at Currency Note Press, Nashik. You work under designated officials and follow the unit's working hours and holiday arrangements.
• Authority limits: You cannot sign or certify departmental papers or pass bills. You also cannot supervise or control SPMCIL staff, although you can speak with the relevant officials to coordinate progress on assigned work.
• Exclusive engagement: You must devote your working time to this assignment and cannot take another full-time or part-time job during the contract. Breaching this condition can lead to immediate termination.
• Leave: You earn one day of paid leave for every 20 days of work, including weekly and other applicable holidays. Leave needs the controlling officer's approval and can be taken only after it has accrued.
• Absence: Unauthorised absence leads to a proportionate deduction for the days missed. The contract separates this from leave that has been properly approved.
• Conduct: You must protect official information and maintain integrity and discipline. Breaching confidentiality or acting against SPMCIL's interests can end the engagement immediately.
• Performance review: The unit will review the completion of your assignments periodically. Unsatisfactory work can lead to termination without notice.
• Ending the contract: Management can end the engagement with 15 days' notice. If you want to leave early, you must give one month's written notice or pay one month's consolidated compensation instead.
