IITR Project Attendant BSBE Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is hiring a Project Attendant for a research project in its Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering (BSBE). The project, run by principal investigator Dr. Rajesh Kumar, is developing and characterising Nipah virus-specific neutralizing antibodies and nanobodies and testing whether they can work as a treatment. It is sponsored by the Ignite Life Science Foundation. This is a project-linked contract job, not a regular institute post.

Think of this as the person who keeps a busy biology lab running smoothly. You will support the research team with glassware, media, buffers and reagents, keep the lab clean and organised, and look after consumables. Any graduate can apply, but hands-on lab experience — sterilisation, media and reagent preparation, inventory work, or running basic lab equipment — will give you an edge.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Tenure: The first term is one year, and it can be extended until the project is completed. The job ends with the project.
• Reservation note: SC/ST candidates get preference when their qualifications and experience are equal to other applicants.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
