Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has opened 1 Project Associate-I post under Prof. Sharad Gupta (Advertisement No. SPON/10389/Advt0244). The selected candidate will work on a project titled "Mapping Pathogenic Post-Translational Modifications on Tau in Alzheimer's Disease and Their Selective Clearance via Nanobody E3 Ligase Chimeras." Your work will include peptide synthesis and biophysical characterization, spectroscopic and microscopic analysis, and managing research data and lab records. This is a temporary post for 1 year and can be extended based on your performance and the project's needs.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A four-year Bachelor's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, or a Master's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, or BVSc / B.Pharm, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine from a recognized university or an equivalent degree.
• Preferred experience: Hands-on work with peptide synthesis and protein/peptide biophysical characterization methods. Good communication skills will help.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 35 years old as on the last date of submitting the application (8 July 2026).

Salary

• If you qualified through NET (CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship), GATE or a national-level central government exam, you will get Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
• Other candidates will get Rs. 30,000 per month plus HRA.
• House Rent Allowance is paid at 30% - that is Rs. 11,100 per month for NET/GATE-qualified candidates and Rs. 9,000 per month for others.
