Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati) has released notification (Advt/IITT/CSRC/26-27/01) for 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The JRF will work on the research project titled "Design and Development of High Energy Density Sodium-ion Batteries" under the guidance of Dr. Ranjith T. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in energy storage research at a premier IIT with the possibility of registering for a PhD.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Tech in Chemical/Materials/Energy/Mechanical Engineering OR M.Sc in Chemistry/Physics or a related discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
• GATE: You must have a valid GATE qualification.
• Relaxation for Reserved Categories: Minimum CGPA reduced to 5.5 and minimum marks reduced to 55% for OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwD candidates.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in functional materials, electrochemical testing, and characterization is preferred.
• PhD Registration: The selected candidate is expected to register for a PhD at IIT Tirupati.

Salary

• Monthly salary: Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA as per institute norms.
• The position is initially for 1 year, which can be extended for one more year based on performance.
