IIT Tirupati Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati) needs network support staff on its campus: one Project Associate and one Project Assistant. The hiring is done through a third-party agency, Oriental Integrated Facility Management Pvt. Ltd., which engages the selected people and deploys them at the institute for one year. This is an outsourced job, so you will not be an employee of IIT Tirupati. If you have hands-on experience setting up and fixing wired and Wi-Fi networks, this is a good chance to work inside an IIT campus.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Associate: the senior network support role for someone with a few years of experience in switches, routers and wireless access points; experience with firewalls, CCTV, IP-PBX or monitoring tools and a CCNA/HCIA certificate count in your favour.
• Project Assistant: the entry-level network support role for candidates with one to two years of experience in LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity; exposure to CCTV, IP-PBX or access control systems is a plus.
• Fallback rule: if the institute does not find a suitable Project Associate, that position may be filled as a Project Assistant instead.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate

You will install, configure and troubleshoot the campus wired and wireless network, set up switches, routers and access points, and keep proper documentation of the network.

Project Assistant

You will handle day-to-day LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity issues, help with installations, and support users on Windows and Linux systems.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Outsourced engagement: The positions are purely temporary and run through an outsourcing service provider; selected candidates are not treated as IIT Tirupati employees for any purpose.
• Tenure: The first term is one year, and it can be extended if your performance is good and the institute still needs the role.
• No housing: The institute gives no housing and no HRA.
• Experience proof: Your experience must be backed by a certificate that clearly states the nature of your work.
• Positions may change: The number of positions is tentative and may go up or down.
• Termination: The institute can end the engagement at any time for administrative reasons or unsatisfactory performance.
• No travel allowance: You get no TA/DA for attending the selection process, which is held offline at the institute.
