About This Job

IIT BHU is hiring 2 Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) in the School of Biomedical Engineering for a DBT funded research project. Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi has released a notification dated 18 June 2026 for two JRF positions in the School of Biomedical Engineering. The project title is Artificial-Intelligence Powered Virtual Reality-based Language-Speech Training System for Patients with Post-stroke Aphasia with and without Dysarthria.   • Desirable skills: Python, MATLAB, C#, Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, signal processing, machine learning, and deep learning experience will help.
  • Language preference: Kannada knowledge is desirable because the project includes English-Kannada speech-processing work, but it is not mandatory.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 28 years.
  • Female/SC/ST/Physically Challenged: Upper age relaxation of 5 years.
  • OBC Non-Creamy Layer: Upper age relaxation of 3 years.
  • Preference note: If all other factors are equal, SC/ST applicants may get preference as per Government of India rules.

Salary

  • First two years: Rs. 37,000 plus 18% HRA, making Rs. 43,660 per month.
  • Third year: Rs. 42,000 plus 18% HRA, making Rs. 49,560 per month.
