IIT Bhilai Project Associate-II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai) has invited applications for 1 Project Associate-II position in a research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the National Quantum Mission. The project works on building a tamper-proof, post-quantum network encryptor and TLS accelerator hardware (PQ-TLS ASIC) led by Dr. Dhiman Saha of the Computer Science and Engineering department. This is a great chance for engineers and science graduates who want hands-on work in cryptography, embedded systems and cutting-edge quantum-safe security research.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a 4-year Bachelor's degree OR a Master's degree in Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, BVSc or B.Pharm, OR a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine from a recognised university.
• Experience: You need at least 2 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems along with knowledge of AI tools.

Desirable Skills

• A strong base in Mathematics, Computer Science and programming.
• A good understanding of cryptography and post-quantum cryptography.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage the project well.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years.

Salary

• Rs. 42,000 per month + 18% HRA if you are selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship), GATE, or another national-level exam conducted by a Central Government department, agency or institution.
• Rs. 33,000 per month + 18% HRA for other qualified candidates who do not fall under the national-level exam criteria above.

Selection Process

Selection is based on an interview:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened and only shortlisted candidates are called for the interview. If too many candidates qualify, the committee may shortlist based on higher qualifications and experience.
2. Interview: Held on 7 July 2026 (tentative) at Room No. 413B, ED-1 Building, IIT Bhilai at 11:00 AM. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.

The decision of the selection committee will be final.
