ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR), Hyderabad has invited applications for 1 Young Professional-II position under the NABARD AP FPO 2.0 project. This is a purely temporary, contractual engagement that runs until 31 March 2027 and may be extended depending on the project's continuation and your performance. You will work with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) at ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad and in ASR District, Andhra Pradesh, helping farmers with training, technology dissemination and market linkages. Candidates with hands-on FPO or agricultural extension experience should apply.

ICAR-IIMR is the Global Centre of Excellence on Millets (Shree Anna) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, and regularly runs project-based recruitment for agriculture graduates to support its FPO and rural development work. As a Young Professional-II, you will play a field-facing role that combines agricultural extension work with project coordination and reporting — a good fit if you enjoy working directly with farmer communities rather than a desk-only research role.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Graduate degree in B.Sc. Agriculture of 4 years duration
• Desirable Experience: 3-4 years of working experience with FPOs and Agricultural Extension projects
• Desirable Skills: Technology dissemination, documentation and funding work; developing millets-based literature; formation, promotion and incubation of FPOs; organizing training programs; extension publication and editing; research/article publications

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 45 years old as on the date of interview (12 August 2026), with relaxation as per government rules.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated and fixed salary of Rs. 42,000 per month.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Bring original certificates and self-attested photocopies of your educational and experience documents for verification.
2. Walk-in Interview: Reporting time is till 10:15 AM on 12 August 2026, with a 15-minute grace period. Candidates reporting after this time will not be accepted.

2. Fill in your bio-data in the prescribed format, along with a passport-size photo.
3. Attach self-attested copies of your relevant educational and experience certificates.
4. If you are currently working elsewhere, get a No Objection Certificate from your present employer.
5. Report to ICAR-IIMR, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030 by 10:15 AM on 12 August 2026 for document verification.
6. Attend the walk-in interview at 10:30 AM.

• Liaise with Central and State government departments, financial institutions and other stakeholders for project implementation
• Facilitate post-harvest management, aggregation, procurement, collective marketing and value addition for FPOs
• Develop business models, business plans and convergence strategies to strengthen FPO sustainability
• Organize conferences, workshops, exhibitions, farmer fairs and stakeholder meetings
• Prepare project proposals, progress reports and utilization reports
