ANGRAU Teaching Staff Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

The appointment is purely temporary and contractual for 11 months. It does not create a right to regular appointment or continuation after the engagement ends. All four posts are located at the Polytechnic of Organic Farming, RARS Chintapalle, Alluri Seetaramaraju District, Andhra Pradesh 531111.

The Teaching Associate position is intended for a higher-qualified agricultural-sciences candidate with research and teaching exposure. The Teaching Assistant positions are open to applicants with the specified four-year agriculture or agricultural-engineering degree. Who Can Apply?

Teaching Associate

You need a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences, or a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences supported by a four- or five-year bachelor's degree with first division or an equivalent overall grade point average. Master's degree applicants must also have at least 3 years of relevant teaching or research experience, evidenced through fellowship, associateship, training or other engagements.

• You must have published at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed journal or a journal with a NAAS rating of 4.0 or above.
• An applicant with a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences obtained after a three-year bachelor's degree and two-year master's degree must also hold NET qualification.
• All relevant degrees must have been completed at ICAR-accredited universities or colleges.

Teaching Assistant

You need a four-year B.Sc. (Agriculture) or B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) degree. The degree must be from an ICAR-accredited university or college. The notice does not require a separate experience period for Teaching Assistant.

Age Limit

• Teaching Associate: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women.
• Teaching Assistant: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
• Reference date: Age will be counted on the interview date, 26 August 2026.

The notification does not list another category-wise relaxation table. Use the post- and gender-specific age ceiling stated above and carry a matriculation or equivalent certificate showing date of birth.

Salary

• Teaching Associate with Ph.D.: Rs. 67,000 per month plus applicable HRA.
• Teaching Associate with Master's degree: Rs. 61,000 per month plus applicable HRA.
• Teaching Assistant: Rs. 35,000 per month as consolidated pay.

HRA for Teaching Associates will follow the existing Andhra Pradesh Government rate applicable to the place of posting. The notice does not add HRA to the consolidated Teaching Assistant amount. No TA or DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

ANGRAU has announced a walk-in interview followed by the required medical examination. It has not announced a written test, syllabus, marks pattern or negative marking.

1. Document check: The station checks your original records, self-attested copies, application and eligibility for the chosen post.
2. Walk-in interview: Candidates meeting the criteria are assessed at RARS Chintapalle from 10:00 AM on 26 August 2026.
3. Medical examination: A selected candidate must undergo the prescribed fitness examination at their own expense before engagement.

Only candidates who meet the essential qualification should attend. Concealing information or canvassing can disqualify a candidate, including after engagement. The Associate Director of Research may cancel, withdraw or postpone the positions or interview if necessary.
