ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) YP-I & Lab Assistant Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

Indian Council of Agricultural Research - Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), Pusa Campus, New Delhi has invited applications for 2 contractual posts under a UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions Limited funded research project titled "Bio-efficacy evaluation of UPF 1317 against postharvest diseases of apple, banana and mandarins (kinnow and Nagpur oranges) during storage". These positions are temporary, purely contractual, and co-terminus with the project. This is a good opportunity for M.Sc. graduates in Horticulture or Postharvest Management, and for 10th Pass candidates looking for lab-based work in a premier agricultural research institute.

Who Can Apply?

For Young Professional-I (YP-I) — Rs. 30,000/month:

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Postharvest Management or Horticulture (Pomology) with computer skills
• Desirable: Working experience in food analysis laboratory, computer operation, and proficiency in English writing and documentation

For Lab Assistant — Rs. 16,000/month:

• Essential Qualification: 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognised board
• Desirable: Minimum 1 year of experience in Lab or field work

Age Limit

• Maximum age for men: 35 years
• Maximum age for women: 40 years
• Age relaxation: Available for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GOI/ICAR norms

Salary

• Young Professional-I (YP-I): Rs. 30,000 per month (fixed, consolidated)
• Lab Assistant: Rs. 16,000 per month (fixed, consolidated)
• These are consolidated amounts. No additional allowances like DA, HRA, or TA are provided.
• Leave entitlement: CL and RH allowed, up to 10 days per year (8 CL + 2 RH). No regular leave.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: You need to appear in person at the interview venue on the scheduled date. Only candidates with the essential qualification will be called for the interview.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates, mark sheets, and other documents will be verified on the spot during the interview.
3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must submit a recent medical fitness certificate at the time of joining.

Note: ICAR-IARI reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview without assigning any reason.

6. Appear in person at the Committee Room of Food Science & Postharvest Technology, NRL Building, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi on 23 April 2026 at 9:30 AM.
