Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is hiring 25 Manager and Deputy Manager posts on a fixed-term basis for 3 years (extendable up to 2 more years). GSL is a Mini Ratna Category-I defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence. The salary ranges from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,80,000 per month (IDA pay scale). You can apply online before 22 April 2026. Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), located at Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa, builds and repairs warships for the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and friendly foreign countries. Under Advertisement No. 03/2026, GSL needs engineers across 10 different technical disciplines — including weapons, propulsion, electrical, signal communications, piping, HVACR, hull, and safety — to work on ongoing projects like Frigates, NGOPVs, and Corvettes. Who Can Apply?
Manager Posts (E-3 Grade)
- Qualification: Full-time B.E/B.Tech in the relevant engineering branch (Electrical/Electronics for Weapons; Mechanical/Marine for Propulsion) from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institution
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification relevant work experience in the respective field
- Preferred: Post-graduate degree, diploma, or certificate course in the relevant field
Deputy Manager Posts (E-2 Grade)
- Qualification: Full-time B.E/B.Tech in the relevant engineering branch from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institution
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of post-qualification relevant work experience
- Preferred: Post-graduate degree, diploma, or certificate course in the relevant field; working knowledge of SAP/ERP modules
Note: For the Deputy Manager (Safety) post, you also need a 1-year Diploma in Industrial Safety from CLI/RLI or a 2-year PG degree in Safety Engineering/Industrial Safety from a recognised institution.
Engineering disciplines accepted: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Marine, Naval Architecture, Production/Industrial Engineering (varies by post).
Age Limit
Age is calculated as on 31 March 2026.
- Manager posts: UR — 36 years, OBC — 39 years
- Deputy Manager posts: UR/EWS — 33 years, OBC — 36 years, SC/ST — 38 years
- Age relaxation: As per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Agniveer candidates
- After all relaxations, candidates must have at least 3 years of residual service as on the cut-off date
Salary
- Manager (E-3 Grade): Rs. 60,000 - 1,80,000 per month (IDA Pay Scale, Revised 2017) — Approximate CTC: Rs. 18.50 lakh per year
- Deputy Manager (E-2 Grade): Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000 per month (IDA Pay Scale, Revised 2017) — Approximate CTC: Rs. 14.93 lakh per year
- Additional benefits: Performance Related Pay, Accident Insurance Coverage, Contributory Medical Insurance Policy, and other welfare items as per company rules

Selection Process

Responsibilities
- Handle design, installation, commissioning, and testing of equipment in the assigned technical discipline on warship platforms
- Work on ongoing shipbuilding projects including Frigates, NGOPVs, and Corvettes for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard
- Manage planning, coordination, and monitoring of production activities in the assigned department
- Assist in operation, maintenance, and repair of weapons, propulsion, electrical, piping, HVACR, or hull systems as per post specialization
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports related to shipbuilding and ship repair activities
- Follow all safety protocols and quality standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements
- Monitor project timelines and coordinate with internal teams, Indian Navy, and Coast Guard representatives

Full-time B.E/B.Tech in relevant engineering branch (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Marine/Naval Architecture/Production) from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institution
Preferred Qualification

Required Skills
Relevant work experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or defence platforms. Knowledge of warship systems in the respective discipline.
