Government Medical College, Khammam is recruiting medical teachers and ICU specialists for its college and the attached Government General Hospital. Post-wise Duties

Associate Professor

You will lead classroom and bedside teaching, guide junior faculty and residents, and support the department's academic and clinical work. Your teaching experience and research publications form an important part of the role.

Assistant Professor

You will teach undergraduate medical students, support practical or clinical sessions, assess learners, and contribute to department records and patient care. Depending on the speciality, your work may combine lectures, ward duties, demonstrations and mentoring.

CAS Specialist under ICU

You will manage critically ill patients, coordinate with nursing and specialty teams, and keep clear treatment and monitoring records. The role is tied to the ICU service rather than a classroom-only assignment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: the engagement runs only while the sanctioned need continues and gives no claim to a future regular government post.
• Registration: outside-state applicants must secure Telangana State Medical Council registration within one week of selection for the appointment to be confirmed.
• Local preference: Assistant Professor appointments give first preference to eligible local candidates from Multi Zone I; the notice also applies local-reservation rules to specified posts.
• Bond: selected faculty must sign the prescribed one-year service bond before joining.
• Notice period: either side may end the contract with one month's notice, subject to the terms in the notification.
• Joining: you must provide a relieving order from your previous institution and report within the period stated in the appointment order.
