About This Job

ESIC is hiring 27 doctors — Super Specialists, Specialists and Senior Residents — for the ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam (Kerala). If you have an MBBS with a PG or super-specialty medical qualification and valid Medical Council registration, you can attend the walk-in interview on 14 July 2026. The salary ranges from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 2,40,000 per month depending on the post. These are contractual posts for one year (extendable up to three years).

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 to fill 27 contractual medical posts at its Model and Super Specialty Hospital in Asramam, Kollam. The drive covers 2 Super Specialist, 7 Specialist and 18 Senior Resident posts across many departments. This is a walk-in interview — there is no online application, so eligible doctors can attend directly with their documents.

2. Specialist (Full/Part Time) — 7 posts

• General Medicine: 1 (OBC)

• Casualty (A&E): 2 (OBC)
• Dermatology: 1 (OBC)
• Microbiology: 1 (UR)

3. Senior Resident (Pay Level 11) — 18 posts

• General Medicine: 3, General Surgery: 2, ICU: 2, Obstetrics & Gynaecology: 2, ENT: 2, Orthopaedics: 2
• Cardiology: 1, Nephrology: 1, Pathology: 1, Paediatrics: 1, Casualty: 1

If candidates are not available in the reserved category, a post may be filled for 44 days with a UR candidate.

Who Can Apply?

Super Specialist

• A recognized medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, plus MCh/DM/DNB in the concerned super specialty, registered with the Medical Council.
• For the Senior Consultant level, you need at least 5 years experience after the super-specialty qualification.

Specialist

• PG Degree/DNB or Diploma in the concerned specialty after MBBS, with TCMC registration.
• Experience: 3 years (degree) or 5 years (diploma) for Junior level; 5 years (degree) or 7 years (diploma) for Senior level.

Senior Resident

• PG Degree/DNB or Diploma in the concerned specialty after MBBS with TCMC registration. For super-specialty departments, DM/DrNB is preferred.
• Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any Central institution are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Super Specialist & Specialist: not more than 69 years as on the date of interview (tenure not allowed beyond 70 years).
• Senior Resident: not more than 45 years as on the date of interview, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules.

Salary

• Super Specialist (Full Time): Rs. 2,00,000/month (entry) to Rs. 2,40,000/month (senior level).
• Super Specialist (Part Time): Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,50,000/month.
• Specialist (Full Time): Rs. 1,38,108 (Level 11) to Rs. 1,60,752 (Level 12) per month.
• Specialist (Part Time): Rs. 60,000/month.
• Senior Resident: around Rs. 1,38,108/month (Level 11, 7th CPC).

Application Fee

• General / EWS / OBC: Rs. 250
• SC / ST: Rs. 50
• PWD and Female applicants: No fee
• Pay by Demand Draft in favour of "Employees' State Insurance Fund – Account No 1", payable at Kollam.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

1. Registration: Report between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the interview day, near the Medical Superintendent's Room.
2. Document Verification: Bring all original documents along with one set of photocopies.
3. Interview: Selection is based on your qualification, experience and interview performance.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Examine and treat patients in the assigned department (OPD, ward, ICU or casualty).
• Attend emergency calls and provide care as and when required.
• Perform procedures and surgeries as per your specialty.
• Keep proper case records and clinical notes for every patient.
• Guide junior doctors, DNB trainees and nursing staff.
• Follow ESIC hospital rules, duty timings and medical protocols.
