The District Health Society (DHS), Chengalpattu works under the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the National Health Mission - Tamil Nadu (NHM-TN). It has released a notification to fill 71 temporary posts on a contract basis. Please note that all these posts are purely temporary and will never be made permanent. The contract runs for 11 months at a time and is renewed only if your work performance is found good. Who Can Apply?

Since this is a multi-post recruitment, the qualification depends on the post you pick. Here is the breakdown by group:

Nursing Posts (Rs. 17,500 - 21,000/month):

• Mid Level Health Provider & Staff Nurse (UHWC): GNM or B.Sc Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute.
• UHN (ANM): ANM qualification recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, plus registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.

Health Inspector (Rs. 17,500/month):

• 12th pass with Biology / Botany and Zoology.
• You must have studied Tamil as a subject up to SSLC (10th) level.
• A 2-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Male) / Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector training certificate approved by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

Office and Data Posts (Rs. 10,000 - 19,000/month):

• Psychiatric Social Worker: M.A. or Master of Social Work (Medical and Psychiatry) with 6 months training at a recognised institution.
• Block Account Assistant: B.Com with Tally knowledge.
• Data Entry Operator: A computer graduate, or any graduate with a Diploma in Computer Application.
• Assistant Cum Data Entry Operator: Any degree with computer knowledge.
• Office Assistant: 10th pass.

Support Posts (Rs. 11,000/month):

• MMU Cleaner and Multi Purpose Hospital Worker: 8th pass.

Candidates who have completed a basic computer training course will be given preference across all posts.

Salary

• The pay is a fixed monthly amount (consolidated pay) and depends on the post:
• Psychiatric Social Worker: Rs. 27,000 per month
• Mid Level Health Provider & Staff Nurse (UHWC): Rs. 21,000 per month
• Block Account Assistant: Rs. 19,000 per month
• Health Inspector, UHN (ANM) & Data Entry Operator: Rs. 17,500 per month
• Assistant Cum Data Entry Operator: Rs. 15,000 per month
• MMU Cleaner & Multi Purpose Hospital Worker: Rs. 11,000 per month
• Office Assistant: Rs. 10,000 per month

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for these posts. The health society will prepare a merit list based on the points below, followed by an interview:

1. Place of residence (local candidates are taken into account).
2. Marks percentage in your 10th, 12th and degree.
3. Previous work experience in a similar role.
4. Interview.

People who have done a basic computer training course get extra preference.
