Engineers India Limited (EIL) is a Schedule 'A' Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. PESB has invited applications for the post of Director (Technical), which is a board-level position. The vacancy is expected to arise on 1 April 2027, and the appointment will be for a five-year tenure or until superannuation at age 60, whichever comes first. This is a prestigious leadership role in one of India's premier engineering consultancy organisations, known for providing design, project management and consultancy services across hydrocarbon, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Qualification: You must be an Engineering graduate from a recognised university or institution.
• Preferred: Chemical Engineering degree holders will be given preference.

Experience

• Minimum Experience: You need at least 5 years of senior-level experience in technical, operational, or project management roles.
• Sector: Your experience should be in consultancy, petroleum, or petrochemical sectors.

Employment Status

You must currently be employed in a regular capacity in one of the following:

• Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) or State Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs)
• Central Government Group 'A' services or Armed Forces
• Public Sector Banks or Financial Institutions
• Large private sector companies with an annual turnover of Rs. 5,000 crore or more

Residual Service

• Internal candidates (EIL): Minimum 2 years of residual service required
• All other candidates: Minimum 3 years of residual service required

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 45 years
• Superannuation age: 60 years
• Internal candidates need at least 2 years of residual service on the date of vacancy
• Other candidates need at least 3 years of residual service on the date of vacancy

Salary

• The Director (Technical) post carries an IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,80,000 to Rs. 3,40,000 per month.
• This is a Schedule 'A' Navratna CPSE board-level position, so you will also get DA, HRA, perquisites, and other allowances as per DPE (Department of Public Enterprises) guidelines.
• The total CTC including allowances and perks is significantly higher than the basic pay.

Selection Process

Selection for this board-level post is handled by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB):

1. Application Screening: PESB reviews all applications received within the deadline and shortlists candidates based on eligibility criteria.
2. PESB Interview/Selection Meeting: Shortlisted candidates appear before the PESB panel for a selection meeting. PESB recommends a candidate to the Government.
