DMHO Jogulamba Gadwal Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Jogulamba Gadwal District, Telangana has issued a notification (Rc. No. 1039/BDK/NHM/2026, dated 10 July 2026) to fill 1 Medical Officer post at the Basthi Dawakhana, Shantha Bazar, Ieeja, under the National Health Mission (NHM) programme. The Basthi Dawakhana scheme provides free primary healthcare closer to home in urban slum areas of Telangana. This is a purely temporary contract engagement for one year, or till the actual need ceases, whichever comes first. Selection is entirely merit-based — there is no written exam or interview, so your qualifying exam marks and age matter most. Note: applications already submitted before this notification will not be considered — you must apply fresh.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree registered with the Telangana Medical Council.
• The notification does not ask for any prior work experience — freshers with a valid MBBS registration can apply right after graduation.
• Note: No prior applications submitted before this notification will be entertained — a fresh application is required.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years old, reckoned as on 1 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates get 5 years relaxation. Ex-servicemen get 3 years plus their length of armed forces service (applicable to Medical Officer posts). NCC instructors get 3 years plus their length of NCC service.
• PwBD: Persons with disabilities get 10 years relaxation.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 52,000 for this Medical Officer post.
• This is a fixed contract amount — no separate DA/HRA is mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done purely on merit, out of a total of 100 marks:

1. Qualifying Exam Marks: 90 marks based on your marks in the MBBS qualifying examination.
2. Age Weightage: 10 marks based on your age — you get 0.5 mark for every completed year of age above 18 (reckoned as on 1 July 2026), up to a maximum of 10 marks. For example, a candidate aged 30 years gets 6.0 marks, and a candidate aged 40 years gets 10.0 marks.

The merit list is prepared by the District Selection Committee, Jogulamba Gadwal, and displayed on the official website for transparency. The final selection list follows the Rule of Reservation (RoR) and Presidential Orders, including 33 1/3% reservation for women candidates. Vacancies falling in Scheduled Areas under G.O. 68 are filled exclusively with local Scheduled Tribe candidates. Selected candidates must maintain their headquarters at the posted location, and these posts are not transferable. You will work under the overall administrative control of the Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare (CH&FW) and the Mission Director, NHM Telangana, Hyderabad. The termination notice period is 30 days from either side, and the panel of selected candidates stays valid for filling any future vacancies for one year from the date of final selection. You will be informed of the outcome by email or official communication, and your performance will be reviewed from time to time for extension or termination of the contract. The District Collector reserves the right to change, modify, or cancel the selection process at any stage, and the decision will be final and binding. Selected candidates may also be required to undertake official tours as part of their duties.
