Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed at least Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board.
• Computer Knowledge: You should have practical working knowledge of computers.
• Domicile: You must be a resident of Korba district, Chhattisgarh.
• Who is preferred: Retired teachers, retired government servants, serving government school or college teachers, university and college students, lawyers, Anganwadi workers, social workers, and members of registered NGOs are all eligible to apply.
• Criminal Record: You should not have any criminal case pending against you in any court, and should not have been convicted in any criminal matter.

Age Limit

• You must be at least 18 years old as on the date of notification (16 March 2026).
• There is no upper age limit mentioned in the notification.

Salary / Honorarium

• This is a voluntary position and does not carry any regular salary or wages.
• Selected Paralegal Volunteers will receive an honorarium as determined by the State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) from time to time.
• The notification clearly states: "The Work of PLVs does not carry any Salary remuneration or wages except honorarium fixed by the SLSA from time to time."

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection will happen through a single stage:

1. Interview: The Selection Committee will conduct an interview. The list of shortlisted candidates for the interview will be published on the Korba District Court website at korba.dcourts.gov.in. No individual call letters will be sent — you need to check the website regularly.
2. Police Verification: After selection as a Paralegal Volunteer, police verification will be conducted.

Note: Previous work or experience as a PLV does not guarantee re-selection. However, it may be considered at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

2. Fill in the application form completely with your full name, address, educational details, and other required information.
3. Attach a recent color passport-size photograph (self-signed) to the application form.
4. Write your name in Capital Letters on the date line of the application.
5. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
6. Put the completed application in a sealed envelope and drop it in the "Drop Box" at the office of District Legal Services Authority, Korba.
7. The Drop Box is available during office hours: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all working days.
8. Applications received after 5:00 PM on 30 March 2026 will not be accepted.

Applications submitted through any other medium will not be accepted. Only applications dropped in the Drop Box at DLSA Korba office will be considered.

• Help people from weaker sections of society access legal services through DLSA and Taluka Legal Services Committees
• Support the organization and conduct of legal awareness camps at the village and community level
• Guide people in filing applications for legal aid and connecting them with the right authorities
• Assist in resolving minor disputes through mediation and Lok Adalat proceedings
• Report to the DLSA or concerned Taluka Legal Services Committee as directed and attend training sessions
• Maintain records of legal aid activities and beneficiaries served in the assigned area
