Who Can Apply?

Assistant Registrar (Level 10)

• Master's degree with at least 55% marks from a recognised University
• 8 years of relevant experience, of which 3 years in pay level 7 or 6 years in pay level 6

Junior Superintendent (Level 6)

• Master's degree with 55% + 3 years experience, OR Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience

Junior Assistant (Level 3)

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 55% marks from a recognised university
• Computer typing proficiency in English/Hindi preferred

Technical Officer (Level 10)

• M.Tech/M.E. with 55% + 5 years experience, OR B.Tech/B.E. + 7 years experience

Assistant Executive Engineer (Level 10) — Electrical

• M.Tech/M.E. in Electrical Engineering with 55% + 5 years experience, OR B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical + 7 years experience

Medical Officer (Level 10)

• MBBS from IMC-recognised university with CRI completion + 55% marks
• 3 years working experience after the degree in a recognised hospital with 20+ beds
• Must reside on IIT Bhilai campus

Junior Technical Superintendent (Level 6)

• M.Tech/M.E. + 1 year, OR B.Tech/B.E./Master's + 3 years, OR 3-year Diploma + 6 years experience

Junior Sports Officer (Level 6)

• M.P.Ed/Sports Sciences with 55% + 3 years experience, OR B.P.Ed + 5 years experience

Junior Technical Assistant (Level 3)

• B.Tech/B.E./Master's in Science/Computer Science with 55%, OR 3-year Diploma + 3 years experience

Junior Mechanic (Level 3)

• B.Tech/B.E. in relevant discipline with 55%, OR 3-year Diploma + 3 years experience

Age Limit

• Level 10 posts (AR, TO, AEE, MO): Maximum 40 years
• Level 6 posts (JS, JTS, JSO): Maximum 35 years
• Level 3 posts (JA, JTA, JM): Maximum 30 years
• Age is calculated as on the closing date of application, i.e., 18 May 2026
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per GOI norms (OM No. DOPT-1667569393892, dated 06.09.2022)
• Internal employees of the institute get relaxation as per institute norms

Salary

• Level 10 (Group A): Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month — for AR, TO, AEE, MO
• Level 6 (Group B): Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month — for JS, JTS, JSO
• Level 3 (Group C): Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month — for JA, JTA, JM
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules
• Reimbursement of medical expenses, children education allowance, leave travel concession, and pension under National Pension System (NPS)
• Campus accommodation available as per IIT Bhilai (Residence Allotment) Rules, 2022 (HRA not paid if accommodation is allotted)

Application Fee

• Group A posts — UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: Rs. 1,000
• Group A posts — SC/ST/PwD/Female: Rs. 500
• Group B & C posts — UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: Rs. 500
• Group B & C posts — SC/ST/PwD/Female: Rs. 250
• Internal candidates: No application fee
• Applicants applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post and pay fee separately

Selection Process

The selection is through Direct Recruitment in the following stages:

1. Online Application Screening: Applications scrutinised on the basis of qualification and quality of relevant experience
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Trade Test: Conducted to shortlist candidates wherever required
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for interview (where applicable)
4. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the time of written test or interview
