Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) has released advertisement number IIMR/Admn/Rec./Software Dev./2026-27/07 dated 27 April 2026 for one Software Developer post (Unreserved) at the Atal Nagar campus in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The role is classified as Group B, Non-Faculty and the appointment can be made on either a regular basis or as a fixed-term contract for three years, extendable subject to performance. This is a finance-and-accounts oriented developer role focused on building and maintaining ERP applications using Java, PHP, and MVC frameworks. Candidates from Government, PSU, or autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel with NOC.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You need a BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science/IT), B.Tech/BE (CS/CE/IT), MCA, or M.Sc (Computer Science/IT) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised University or Institute.

Experience (Mandatory)

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience with expertise in software development.
• Experience MUST be from educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs, IIITs, NITs, IISc, AIIMS or institutions of comparable national standing under the Ministry of Education or other Ministries of the Government of India.
• Applications from candidates without such institutional experience will not be considered.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with MVC frameworks and web frameworks like Spring
• Proficiency in Java and PHP with J2EE technologies (JSP, JDBC)
• Front-end skills: HTML5, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery
• Web services, XML, and integration tools
• Database design and RDBMS (especially PostgreSQL) plus system/database administration
• Communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and SDLC, UML, system design, testing, and maintenance

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the last date of application (17 May 2026)
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and EWS candidates.

Salary

• Consolidated emoluments equivalent to the minimum of Pay Level 6 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission
• Basic Pay: Rs. 35,400 per month plus Dearness Allowance as applicable from time to time
• Additional benefits: House Rent Allowance, Children's Education Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other allowances as per Institute rules
• Suitable pay protection in line with last pay drawn may be offered to deserving candidates from Government / Autonomous Institutes.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on screening of applications against the essential qualifications, experience, and institutional eligibility criteria.
2. Personal Interview / Written Test / Skill Test: Only shortlisted candidates will be called as applicable. The Institute decides the mode based on the response.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates must be produced at the time of interview.
4. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to a medical fitness certificate issued by a Government Medical Officer at the time of joining.

Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to-and-fro III-AC railway fare by the shortest route on production of proof of travel. No stay or local travel will be reimbursed.
