CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has invited applications for 1 Project Associate-I post under the project "Carbon Footprinting and Sequestration Study for Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant (DCRTPP), Jagadhri, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana" (CNP-3041). This is a purely temporary, project-based engagement led by Er. Suvha Lama, Scientist-D, under the Climate Risk, Impact and Adaptation (CRIA) group. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET, GATE, or an equivalent national-level exam get a higher pay of Rs. 31,000 compared to Rs. 25,000 for others. CSIR-NEERI is one of India's premier environmental engineering research laboratories, and this project studies the carbon footprint and sequestration potential of a major thermal power plant in Haryana — a subject that is increasingly relevant given India's climate commitments.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Fishery, Forestry, Environmental Science, or Agriculture.

Salary

• Other candidates will get Rs. 25,000 per month plus HRA.
• You will need to arrange your own accommodation during the project tenure, though HRA is paid as per applicable rules.

Selection for this post is done through a single stage:
