CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has invited applications for 1 Project Assistant-II post under the project "Development of Bamboo Diversity on Fly Ash Field Coal Mine Dump at Mahanadi Coalfield Area, Odisha" (SSP-3065). The number of posts may increase to 2-3 depending on the availability of project funds, with extra candidates placed on a waiting list. This is a purely temporary, project-based engagement led by Dr. Lal Singh, Scientist-E, under the Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Division. CSIR-NEERI is one of India's premier environmental engineering research laboratories, working on projects ranging from waste management to pollution control, and engagements like this one give you the chance to work on a live government-funded environmental study.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.Sc. in Computer Science or IT from a recognized university.
• Job Role: Your work will involve field surveys, handling E-Office, CSIR Purchase Software and the GeM Portal, sampling and data collection, site and graphical design, and data compilation.
• Only candidates who have completed their qualification with at least a provisional certificate can apply. Final semester or result-awaited candidates are not eligible, and they will not be allowed to appear for the interview either.
• Experience is counted only from the date after you complete your minimum qualification — time spent on your dissertation or a higher qualification does not count as experience.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for this post is 35 years, counted as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get Rs. 20,000 per month plus HRA.
• You will also get a 15% increment after 3 years of experience in the same project.
• You will need to arrange your own accommodation during the project tenure, though HRA is paid as per applicable rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for this post is done through a single stage:
