CGG Research Associate Health Recruitment 2026: Overview

Centre for Good Governance (CGG) is engaging a Research Associate for a contractual Health Sector Project, with Hyderabad as the ordinary work base. The assignment supports evidence gathering and indicator verification for public programmes, placing the role between policy research, monitoring work and practical project documentation. You will work with programme guidelines, administrative records and secondary data so that the wider team can base its findings on organised, traceable evidence. This makes the post suitable for someone who can read technical material carefully and explain findings in clear reports.

The research work has a field-facing side as well as a desk-research side. Along with literature and document review, the project can involve field verification, stakeholder consultations and coordination with government teams. You may compile evidence from several sources, identify what supports a reported indicator and help shape verification reports for project review. Public health or development-sector exposure is particularly relevant, although the notice accepts postgraduate backgrounds across policy, statistics, economics, management and related social-science fields.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract status: The Research Associate engagement is purely contractual and co-terminus with the Health Sector Project. It should be viewed as a project assignment rather than a regular or permanent government post.
  • Anticipated assignment: CGG is conducting this exercise before the project formally begins. Publication of the notice does not commit CGG to make an employment offer, even when an applicant meets the stated profile.
  • Work base and mobility: Posting will ordinarily be at Hyderabad. The assignment also calls for extensive travel within Telangana and outside the state, reflecting its field-verification and consultation requirements.
  • Shortlisting discretion: CGG can assess the relevance of your education, research background, policy work and monitoring experience when deciding whom to shortlist. Sending an application alone does not create a right to be called for an interview.
  • Equivalent professional strength: The selection committee may consider someone with exceptional, demonstrable experience on work of comparable complexity even without the exact educational qualification. This is subject to approval by the competent authority and remains a case-by-case decision.
  • Recruitment scope: Depending on project needs and the response to the notice, CGG may alter its screening approach, increase or reduce positions, or cancel the recruitment. Check CGG notices for any change affecting the exercise.
  • Integrity requirement: Recommendations, lobbying or other attempts to influence the decision can disqualify an applicant at any stage. Present your research, documentation and project experience through the information requested in the online form.
  • Credential checks: If your application moves ahead, be ready to show original certificates and professional credentials. Verification of those records is listed as a possible part of the assessment.
