Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released an official notification (Advertisement No. 09/2026) to fill 102 Auditor (Ankekshak) posts in the Panchayati Raj Vibhag, Government of Bihar. Out of these, 28 are regular vacancies and 74 are backlog vacancies.

Who Can Apply - Qualification

• Graduation (Bachelor's degree) in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics from a recognised university
• Candidates with MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA, or CS qualification are also eligible

Age Limit

• General Male: 21 to 37 years
• Female / OBC / EBC: 21 to 40 years
• SC / ST: 21 to 42 years
• Age counted as on: 01 August 2025 (for regular posts) / 01 August 2026 (for backlog posts)

Salary

• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,800
• 7th CPC Equivalent: Level-5, Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other government allowances as per Bihar government rules

Selection Process

The selection will happen in three stages. There is no interview for this post.

1. Preliminary Exam (MCQ): 150 marks, 2 hours, with negative marking
2. Main Exam: Total 1,000 marks
   • Paper 1 - Hindi: 100 marks
   • Paper 2 & 3 - General Studies: 300 marks each (total 600 marks)
   • Paper 4 - Optional Subject: 300 marks
3. Document Verification

Note: Hindi proficiency will be tested in Paper 1 of Mains. You also need to score minimum qualifying marks in Hindi in the Prelims exam.
