IIM Bodh Gaya Non-Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM Bodh Gaya), set up by the Ministry of Education in 2015, has opened its October 2026 round of non-faculty positions at its residential campus in Bodhgaya, Bihar. The notice mixes three kinds of openings: a senior contract post to run the institute's INSPIRE incubation centre, two student-wellness posts that may be filled on a regular or contract basis, and seven one-year trainee positions for young graduates and postgraduates. The trainee openings have no fixed count — the institute will build a pool of suitable candidates and appoint from it as and when posts come up. Posts and Disciplines

• CEO – INSPIRE Section 8 Incubation Centre (NT 2026-10-A): a contract leadership role for experienced professionals who have run innovation, incubation or entrepreneurship programmes; sector exposure in agri/rural, healthcare or fintech is an extra plus.
• Assistant Student Counsellor (NT 2026-10-B): a senior counselling post for clinical psychologists, reserved for an NC-OBC candidate, offered on a regular or contract basis.
• Wellness Coordinator (NT 2026-10-C): an unreserved support role under the counselling team for psychology postgraduates with campus counselling experience.
• Management Trainee (NT 2026-10-D): for management postgraduates who want to support the institute's academic and research work.
• Management Trainee – IT (NT 2026-10-E): for computer science or IT postgraduates, ideally M.Tech, with web programming skills such as PHP-MySQL.
• Management Trainee cum Counsellor – Clinical/Counselling Psychology (NT 2026-10-F): a counselling-focused trainee role for psychologists with field experience.
• Library Trainee (NT 2026-10-G): for library and information science postgraduates.
• Accounts Trainee (NT 2026-10-H): for commerce postgraduates.
• Yoga Trainee (NT 2026-10-I): for graduates or postgraduates in yogic science who have worked as yoga trainers.
• Graduate Trainee (NT 2026-10-J): an entry-level office support role for graduates in any discipline with good English and computer skills.

Post-wise Duties

CEO – INSPIRE Incubation Centre

You will run the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, manage projects for incubated start-ups, handle documentation, research and outreach, and help the institute use government schemes for entrepreneurship. The role expects you to lead a creative team, work within a budget and build links with industry.

Assistant Student Counsellor

You will look after the emotional and mental well-being of students — assessing stress and anxiety, counselling students, discussing cases with the medical officer, reporting suspected neglect or abuse, and referring students to outside mental health agencies while keeping records confidential.

Wellness Coordinator

You will be the first point of contact during mental health emergencies, giving psychological first aid and escalating cases on time. You will also coordinate with hostels, wardens, faculty and security, give first-level counselling, and help run awareness sessions.

Management Trainee and Management Trainee – IT

Both roles support the academic and research activities of the institute; the IT trainee brings web technology and programming skills to that work.

Management Trainee cum Counsellor

You will offer consultation, counselling, therapy and assessments to students, faculty and staff, run mental health awareness sessions, and keep confidential records of every session.

Graduate Trainee

You will handle routine office support in your section — keeping records, diary and dispatch, photocopying, delivering dak, opening and closing rooms and general upkeep of the unit.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• CEO contract: The contract runs for two years at first and can be extended year by year based on performance and need.
• Trainee contracts: Each trainee post is for one year, extendable on performance. The stipend within the band depends on your qualification and experience.
• Trainee pool: Selection to the pool does not guarantee an appointment; the pool stays valid for one year from the result.
• Regular appointments: The counsellor and wellness posts, if filled on a regular basis, carry a two-year probation.
• Government employees: Apply through proper channel or bring a No Objection Certificate to the test or interview; without it you will not be allowed to appear.
• Earlier applicants: If you applied against an earlier IIM Bodh Gaya advertisement, you must apply again.
• One application per post: Two or more applications for the same position are rejected, and an application for one post cannot be moved to another.
• Experience counting: Part-time and daily-wage experience is not counted for shortlisting.
• Commitment: The institute expects full 24x7 commitment and may consider interviewed candidates for a lower post if they suit it.
