Bank of Baroda is hiring 30 Meritorious Sportspersons in the Clerical Cadre (Customer Service Associate) on a regular basis. If you are a graduate with national or state-level sports achievements in Cricket, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, or Football, you can apply online. The last date to apply is 12 May 2026. Bank of Baroda (BOB) has released Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/09 for recruiting 30 Customer Service Associates who are meritorious sportspersons. Posts are spread across Delhi and Mumbai in four sports disciplines — Cricket, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, and Football. This is a regular (permanent) appointment — not contractual. Selected sportspersons will represent the Bank in state, national, and international events while working as clerks. Only Indian citizens are eligible.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

  • You need a Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • The degree must be from a college/institution/university recognised by the Government of India or Govt. bodies/AICTE.
  • Cut-off date for eligibility: 01.04.2026

Sports Qualifications (any ONE of the following)

  • Represented a State/UT or the Country in National/International competitions; OR
  • Won a Medal in Junior National Championships; OR
  • Won a Medal in Khelo India Youth Games (age category above 18 years), Khelo India Winter Games, Khelo India Para Games, or Khelo India University Games; OR
  • Won a Medal in School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in the mentioned games/sports; OR
  • Represented a University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in the mentioned games/sports; OR
  • Represented a State/UT School Team in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in the mentioned games/sports.

Other Conditions

  • Only Indian Citizens are eligible.
  • At the time of appointment, you must be an active sportsperson fit enough to participate in future tournaments and events.
  • You must maintain a minimum CIBIL score of 680 at the time of joining.
  • Candidates with loan defaults or adverse CIBIL reports are not eligible.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • Maximum age: 28 years (as on 01.04.2026, for General/EWS category)
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST candidates: 5 years standard + 5 years meritorious sportsperson concession = 10 years total (up to 38 years)
    • OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 years standard + 5 years meritorious sportsperson concession = 8 years total (up to 36 years)
    • General/EWS candidates: 5 years meritorious sportsperson concession = up to 33 years
  • Age relaxation for meritorious sportspersons as per DOPT guidelines (O.M.No. DOPT-17207814147 72 dated 04.03.2020).

Salary

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 24,050 - 64,480 under IBA Bipartite Settlement
  • Starting basic pay: Rs. 24,050 per month
  • Maximum basic pay: Rs. 64,480 per month (after increments over 20 years)
  • Plus DA, HRA, CCA, and other allowances as per Bank's policies and industry-level bipartite settlement.
  • Selected candidates will be on probation for 6 months from the date of joining.

  • SC / ST / ESM / DESM / Women candidates: Rs. 175 (Intimation charges only, inclusive of GST) + Payment Gateway Charges

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

  1. Shortlisting / Screening: Applications are screened against the eligibility criteria and sports qualifications. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Field Trials in a ratio as determined by the Bank at its sole discretion.
  2. Field Trials: Shortlisted candidates appear for field trials at a designated venue. The evaluation criteria, qualifying criteria, and cut-off for field trials are determined solely at the Bank's discretion. Venue, date, and time will be communicated via the registered email ID.

Note: The Bank reserves the right to change, cancel, or modify any of the selection criteria, method, or process at any stage. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call letter.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer service duties at the bank branch including account opening, deposits, and withdrawals
  • Represent Bank of Baroda in state, national, and international sports tournaments as required
  • Maintain an active and fit sportsperson status for participation in future events
  • Seek prior permission from the Bank before playing for any other team or organisation
  • Process customer transactions accurately and maintain proper records
  • Assist senior officers with day-to-day branch operations and administrative work
  • Follow Bank's service rules, code of conduct, and disciplinary guidelines at all times

Exam Pattern

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is based on the following 2 stages:

  1. Shortlisting / Screening: Applications are screened based on eligibility criteria and sports qualifications. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Field Trials.
  2. Field Trials: You will be assessed on your sports performance and skill in the relevant discipline (Cricket, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, or Football). The qualifying criteria and evaluation parameters are set by the Bank and are not shared with candidates. Venue and date will be communicated by email.

The Bank reserves the right to change the selection process at any stage without prior notice.
