These are experienced-level posts, so you need a strong accounts background, the SAS qualification and long service in a university, government department or educational institution. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a Commerce graduation or a Master's degree in Commerce or Economics from a recognised university.
• You must have passed the SAS (Subordinate Accounts Service) exam conducted by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India or a State Finance Department.

Experience

• You need at least 15 years of accounts experience in a university, government department or educational institution.

Other Requirements

• You must have passed Punjabi up to Matriculation standard.
• You must not have been disqualified by PPSC, UPSC, any other State Public Service Commission or government department.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 37 years.
• Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation applies as per Punjab Government rules.

Salary

• You will be paid as per the 7th Pay Commission for the post of Assistant Controller (F&A) / Audit Officer.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per university and Punjab Government rules.

• General / OBC: Rs. 2,360
• Candidates belonging to the Vimukat Jati category get a fee concession as per university rules.

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Your eligibility, qualification, SAS and 15 years of experience are checked against the notification.
