• Eligibility: Ex-Servicemen from Indian Army, Navy or IAF in the rank of JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer) or above

Who Can Apply?

For Radar SBU Posts (Sl. No. 1):

• Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Pass class)
• Service Rank: Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) or above from the Indian Air Force
• Experience: 15 years of post-qualification experience in IAF
• Discharge Date: Date of retirement from IAF must be on or before 01 April 2026

For Strategic Communication SBU Posts (Sl. No. 2):

• Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Pass class)
• Service Rank: Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) or above from Indian Army, Navy or IAF
• Experience: 15 years of post-qualification experience in the armed forces
• Discharge Date: Date of retirement from Army/Navy/IAF must be on or before 01 March 2026

Reservation is 100% for Ex-Servicemen.

Age Limit

• Sl. No. 1 (as on 01.04.2026) and Sl. No. 2 (as on 01.03.2026):
• General: Maximum 50 years
• OBC-NCL: Maximum 53 years
• SC/ST: Maximum 55 years
• PwBD: Relaxation as per Government of India rules in the respective category

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000 - 3% - 1,20,000 per month (E-I Grade)
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA)
• Perquisites: 35% of annual basic pay
• Other Benefits: Reimbursement of medical expenses, Group Insurance, PF, Gratuity, Performance Related Pay (PRP) as per company rules

Selection Process

Selection happens in two stages:

1. Written Test: All eligible candidates are required to appear for the written examination. You must produce a valid photo identity proof.
2. Interview: Only candidates who qualify the written test are called for interview in the ratio of 1:7 (as per the vacancy in each category).

If applicants are large in number, BEL may shortlist further based on academic excellence and experience.

3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents — SSLC marks card, Diploma certificates, Discharge book, Aadhaar, PAN, caste/PwBD certificate (if applicable).
4. Place the form and documents in a sealed envelope. Super-scribe the envelope with: "Application for the post of Sr. Asst. Engineer, E-I Grade/RADAR SBU OR SC SBU".

• Apply 15 years of armed forces electronics experience to BEL's defence and homeland security products
• Coordinate with armed forces customers for system integration and field deployment
• Maintain technical documentation, service records and project deliverables
• Follow BEL's quality, safety and security protocols at all project locations
• Mentor and guide junior technicians on field operations and equipment handling
