Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) is one of the defence public sector undertakings formed from the reorganisation of the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board, and its Gun Carriage Factory (GCF) unit in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh manufactures gun carriages and allied defence equipment for the Ministry of Defence. GCF has now released a notification for 2 Examiner (RG & MPI) - Skilled Tradesman posts on contract basis for an initial period of one year, extendable further depending on factory requirement and your performance. Radiography (RG) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) skills are mandatory since this role directly supports inspection standards for operational safety and quality assurance. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need Matriculation along with NTC/NAC, or an Engineering Diploma/Degree in a relevant trade from a recognised Government or Private institute with proper affiliation.
• Certification: A Level-II certification in RG (Radiography) & MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) from ASNT, ISNT or BARC is mandatory to prove your technical competency for inspection work.
• Experience: You must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a reputed company, supported by an experience certificate that describes the machines you worked on, the jobs you manufactured, and your knowledge of programming, where applicable.
• You should be able to start delivering output within 10 days of your engagement at GCF.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on the last date of receipt of application (19 July 2026) if you are a General category candidate.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get 3 years, and Ex-Servicemen get relaxation equal to their period of military service plus 3 years.
• PwD: Persons with Disabilities get an extra 10 years of relaxation within their respective category, as per government policy.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 31,840, made up of Basic Pay of Rs. 19,900 plus Dearness Allowance at the current rate of 60%.
• A 3% annual increase on your Basic Pay is given during the contract tenure, subject to satisfactory performance reviewed every six months.
• You will also get Company Holidays at par with regular GCF employees, though pay is proportionately reduced for unauthorised absence.

Selection Process

Your selection will go through these stages:

1. Skill/Trade Test: Your practical RG & MPI inspection skills will be assessed.
2. Interview: A walk-in interview to check your technical knowledge and work experience.
3. Document Verification: Your original educational certificates, RG & MPI certification and experience proof will be checked at the factory.
4. Medical Examination: You must clear a medical fitness test before you are allowed to join.

If you are selected, you will need to submit a duly filled PVR (Attestation Form) in triplicate as per AWEIL policy, and any dispute related to this recruitment will be handled by courts or tribunals situated in Jabalpur only.
