AIIMS New Delhi Research Scientist, JRF & Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts
The Department of Radiation Oncology at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital (BRAIRCH), AIIMS Delhi has released a notification for 6 Research Staff posts under an extramural project evaluating low-dose CT-based lung cancer screening among high-risk individuals, funded by The BMS Foundation. For Project Assistant (Rs. 37,000/month, age up to 35 years):
- Qualification: Master's Degree in a relevant discipline of Science, Social Sciences or Public Health
- Desirable: experience supporting clinical assessment and sample documentation; experience maintaining participant records and tracking logs; working knowledge of IT applications and MS-Office
Age Limit
- Project Research Scientist-I: up to 40 years
- Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant: up to 35 years
- Age Relaxation: Reservation policies, including age relaxation, apply as per prevailing Government of India guidelines.
Salary
- Project Research Scientist-I: Rs. 73,000 per month
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 48,000 per month
- Project Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month

Responsibilities
- Support implementation of the LDCT lung cancer screening protocol and participant eligibility verification
- Coordinate between participating centres for standardised screening implementation
- Identify eligible participants and support informed consent and baseline assessments
- Monitor and maintain screening data collection, completeness and quality
- Document referral processes, diagnostic timelines and treatment initiation pathways
- Maintain participant tracking logs, follow-up schedules and study documentation
- Assist in data entry, data cleaning and report/manuscript preparation
- Provide periodic site and project activity updates to the Principal Investigator
