AIIMS Bhopal Multitasking Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) needs a Multitasking Staff member for a field research project run by its Department of Community and Family Medicine. The project, "Survive to Thrive", studies how to improve the development of disadvantaged children in urban, rural and tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh, and it is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Dr. Deepti Dabar, Additional Professor in the department, is the Principal Investigator.

This is a contract job tied to the project, not a regular AIIMS post. Most of the work happens out in the community: you will build links with families and local health workers, enrol and follow up children in the study, and help run health camps. Selection is through a walk-in written test, so you do not apply online. You simply turn up on the test day with your filled form and documents.

The test is set at Class 10 level. If you passed high school, can ride a geared two-wheeler and are comfortable working in villages and bastis, this job suits you. Anyone who has already worked on a project at AIIMS Bhopal or another healthcare institution gets a preference.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Two-wheeler is a must: You need a valid driving licence for a geared two-wheeler, and you must own or arrange a two-wheeler for project travel to Bhopal, Chhindwara and other districts of Madhya Pradesh.
• Field postings: You can be posted anywhere the project needs you, including rural areas and field sites.
• Contract only: The job runs for the 11-month contract period. It gives you no claim to a regular or permanent post at AIIMS Bhopal or ICMR.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with 30 days' notice or one month's salary instead of notice.
• Leave: Your leave follows the ICMR leave policy for extramural and short-term research projects.
• No accommodation: The institute and the Principal Investigator do not provide a hostel or housing.
• No travel allowance: You get no TA/DA for coming to the written test or for joining.
• Government employees: Bring a No Objection Certificate from your current employer to the test.
• Private practice and canvassing: Private practice of any kind is not allowed, and canvassing leads to disqualification.
• Waiting list: If the selected person does not join, the next candidate on the waiting list gets the offer.

Application Submission Notes

Do not send any documents in advance. Report by 10:30 am on the test day at Room No. 246, Department of CFM, Second Floor, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Block (Medical College Building), AIIMS, Saket Nagar, Bhopal. Bring the filled application form with your photograph, one set of self-attested photocopies and all your original certificates.

The advertisement and the application form are on the AIIMS Bhopal website (aiimsbhopal.edu.in). Results, joining updates and any changes will appear there and on the CFM department notice board. AIIMS Bhopal may not contact you individually, so keep checking the website.
