CARI Bhubaneswar Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Bhubaneswar is holding a walk-in interview for Consultant (Ayurveda), Young Professional and Senior Research Fellow (Ayurveda) posts under Advertisement No. 4/2026-27. CARI is a unit of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of Ayush, and the people selected will work both for the institute and for its research projects. All three roles are contractual, so this suits Ayurveda graduates and postgraduates who want research experience at a central government institute in Odisha.

There is no written test and no online form. You simply go to the institute at Bharatpur, Bhubaneswar on the interview day fixed for your post, carrying your filled application and documents.

Posts and Disciplines

• Consultant (Ayurveda): the senior role in this drive, meant for experienced Ayurveda doctors with an MD/MS, or BAMS graduates with a longer work record. The institute prefers people who know Sanskrit and have edited or published classical Ayurvedic books, who can draft research proposals, technical reports and articles, and who have worked on projects funded by the Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, DST or other Government of India bodies.
• Young Professional: an entry-level role for Ayurveda graduates who hold registration with a State or Central board. Comfort with MS Office and other computer tools counts in your favour.
• Senior Research Fellow (Ayurveda): a research fellowship for BAMS graduates, run as per the Ministry of Ayush's Extra Mural Research (EMR) guidelines. Preference goes to candidates with a higher degree or earlier work on a research project funded by Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, DST or a similar organisation.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The engagement starts for one year. The competent authority can cut it short or extend it.
• No permanent job claim: The posts end with the project, or when regular staff are posted, whichever comes first. You cannot later ask for continuation or a regular appointment.
• Age reference date: Your age is counted on the date of your own interview, so the cut-off date is different for each post.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for coming to the interview, so plan your travel to Bhubaneswar at your own cost.
